So I watched this last night without knowing much about it beforehand. It's about the life of Sir James Matthew Barrie and the family that inspires him to write his masterpiece Peter Pan. Overall, it was very well acted. Johnny Depp was great (and his accent was actually quite believable :)) in the lead role and Kate Winslet was very likable. And yes, that IS Dustin Hoffman in there!

It's more of a family flick, with a few teary-eyed moments sprinkled in for good measure. I liked it because it reminded me of why I liked the Peter Pan story as a kid and what it used to be like to have a child's imagination, which most of us have sadly misplaced while growing up (actually, this is probably for the best, or else the world would be even more crazy :)).

4/5 Stars

I agree, larryhead!

Joel and I both really enjoyed this movie. We are both closet Pan-o-philes. Matty might remember my ongoing attempt to become more pirate-esque. Depp is great and so it that kid! I enjoyed the seaming of reality and the imaginary world and found it an inspiring, if somewhat sentimental, flick!
