Great show!

I saw them second time around here in NYC. they were SO FUCKED UP! and by that I mean the band was wasted! They still did an amazing show, though, and as far as big production tours go, I'd say U2's pop-mart is staggering around lost in their shadow.

See it, if you haven't.
... and if you have??

SEE IT AGAIN!

I must be listening to them in the wrong mood or something, but they don't appeal to me at all. It just sounds like a bunch of dreamy sounds and whale mating calls to me. Yeah, I said it, whales mating, bitches. Where is the muuuuuuuuuusic??????

Then again... I guess I could see the appeal if I was shrooming or having a seizure or something. :gulp:

I have to agree with LH on this one. I really try very hard to get into anything that all of my close friends are in to. I am still trying to completely understand this one. They are OK, but I can't understand all the hype.

Maybe it is one of those "live shows" type of things...

Try mating with someone you like to a SigurRos album.

You'll TOTALLY get it... and I don't mean a rash.

if you "don't get it," you're probably trying too hard.

It took Joel around 3 years before he started liking my Sigur Ros CDs.
I suggest trying to find some of their older music videos. Their new one is ok, but their older ones are great.

Seeing them live is definately something not to miss... although if you don't care for them to begin with, you should probably go stoned or in some other way inebriated.

While we're talking about Sigur Ros, has anyone picked up Von?

It's in a freaky purple case, came out last winter and has a baby on the cover?
It's wierd. Way wierd. and the "music" is just out there. What's the deal with it? Why do they not adknowledge it on their website? It's like a reprint of their first album, but what's with the obscurity?
Idunno.. any insights?

One of my favorites is the soundtrack they did for some obscure Icelandic movie, Angels, or at least I THINK that's what it's called... Just Lorvely...
