So I've been exploring--EXPLORING!!--old country music. I found this great lady named Wanda Jackson, Queen of Rockabilly. She's great! Also, old Loretta Lynn stuff is really good. And I've always been an on again/off again fan of Emmylou Harris.

Anybody know any good, old country? I prefer female singers, and the 50s-70s time period, but my mind is open for other possibilities, if they're good.

How about Crystal Gayle (gotta love the 8 ft long hair), Dolly Pardon, Anne Murray, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette, Donna Fargo, and the Mandrell Sisters? There ya go, feast on that for awhile.

If you want male artists, I highly recommend Don Williams, Hank Williams Sr., Conway Twitty, Merl Hagard, Ricky Scaggs, and Marty Robbins.

If you like Wanda Jackson, you should really check out Ricky Scaggs they worked together a lot.
