I also had trouble with this initially, and other members kindly explained it to me. Here is a non-technical explanation from an amateur that finally figured it out.
1. You can only post pictures that are already hosted on a website, not a picture that is saved on your computer somewhere.
2. Click the Img button.
3. Right click over the picture you want to post and then click on "Properties."
4. Copy the location of the photo from the Properties window (It will start with http:// and end with jpg, probably).
5. Click the Img button again.
6. Before actually posting, hit Preview to see if you did it right.
7. Proceed to post as many pictures as you can, demonstrating your new skill and annoying other posters (this is the fun part).
Have fun!

Hi there Madre...
What Andi said will work... you can also upload images to http://www.imageshack.us/ and they will host the image for you for free, and then you can just link to them from here as she mentioned.
BTW... There is a hack for this board software that will let us upload images directly from your PC to here, which I meant to install this weekend, but got sidetracked. So I'll get this feature working tonight hopefully. Sorry for the confusion! :)

Oh yeah...I should have clarified that you need to paste the location of the image between the image tags.

Hey thanks for the help I knew it was something easy that I just didn’t understand. I hope to be gracing the board with many tasteful pics. And maybe some not so tasteful..... Hummmmmmm well just have to see.
Nerds : So what does imageshack get out of hosting these pictures? Wouldn't this just eat up a ton of space? Are they sponsored by those popups?
