FF Tactics

SQ, or anybody else, did you ever go through the side quest to get Cloud on Tactics? I just finished it, and it was a real bitch for not much payoff.

Just wondering if anybody else was irritated by how worthless Cloud is?

i didn't get any of the secret characters.

tactics is the best game of all time.

has a new version ever come out.

cuz if it does, i would buy a game system just to play tactics II or whatever.

phew. had a lot of fun playing tactics, but it was frustrating because i'm so BAD at it. seriously i don't think i made it very far in that game at all.

ME TOO!!!! When, SQ originally suggested it to me I thought it looked boring, but after she finally convinced me to give it a try I totally became addicted to it. I haven't played it in several years so I am going back through a second time. This time I have been doing every odd job and listening to every rumor there is. So far I have found three secret characters including Mustadio's Dad.

I did go through all the sidequests for FF Tactics. For all Final Fantasy Games, I usually will go through all sidequests. I'm neurotic that way.

Some of the sidequests for Final Fantasy Games are kind of worthless. Sometimes they pay off in the long run and you can get some badass weapons. The Calculator is the best class to get in Tactics.

Its been a long time since I have played Tactics. I'm still playing X. I go through my phases of playing games. I've been out of it for awhile. 007 has been trying to get me to play Mario Golf again. I'm just not the fan JVO and 007 are.

I think the reason Cloud seems worthless is by the time you get him most of your other people are nearing the badass stage. Finding his buster sword helps though.
As far as secrets go...I remember hearing of a way to get multiple Excaliburs, although I never tried it myself. It involved the Ninja class, the job ability that let you equip excalibur, and the best fit option at the armor shop.
I played the ever-living crap outta that game, and it is still my favorite Final Fantasy game. I wanna check out 12 when it comes out as well because the same guy that wrote/directed tactics is also doing 12. So i'm hoping for somewhat of a darker story.

That is so funny, I hate the Calculator Class!!!! Once you get several of the abilities, it is pretty cool, but it takes so long to act and to advance that it just drives me crazy!!!! I also hate how it will hit friends and enemies alike. The only way I have the patience to Master the Calculator class is using the cheater Accumulate at Sweggy Woods method. I think that the Mime ability is my favorite. If you get all your characters lined up correctly you can do incredible damage.

Good call BigHead about Cloud. I think the adventure to get him is worth it, even though he is not a very good character. My lowest level character is at level 82 and two of my characters have Mastered every class, so Cloud doesn't really stand much of a chance.

I will play Mario Golf with 007 anytime!!!!
