i had it running in the background of my desktop for a while... i think it stopped just before the "Rescue Lea from the Detention Cell" scene.

how long would it take? Probably the most time consuming part would be the dialog entry. i never did mush ascii programming but i played around with still characters and once you get the hang of it, drawing goes pretty fast. When I was a kid i loved to make movies in LogoWriter on my AppleIIe, tho. I imagine it's a lot the same... set up a scene, have sub-programs for your character design and then just move them around. I would estimate a devoted programmer could whip that out in a couple weeks to a month.

just an uneducated hypothesis tho.
