View Full Version : Broncos
JVO (Or anybody else) :
What do you think of the Broncos this season? How about the AFC West? It looks like the toughest division in football (again). What about Maurice Clarett? Maybe he'll turn out, but I never would have drafted him. I know the Broncos can get anybody to run 1000 yards.
Also, the Dolphins suck! :jester:
I really don't know about the Broncos this year. I still have no faith in Jake the Snake. Our D is never good enough to have a quarterback that throws picks every game. Probably 8-8. Too many good teams in the division.
I think the Clarett pick up was a good move. Really didn't lose anything and maybe it will work out. I heard he took the league minimum contract (which is less than what they offered) but that there are a bunch of incentives for performance. I really have a lot of respect for anybody who is willing to do that. If he gets hurt or cut he gets nothing and he will get very little unless he works his way into the starting line up. I was on his side in the dispute with the NFL. I can't believe that it is constitutional to put age restrictions on jobs. If 18 is old enough to go to Iraq how can you possibly say it is not old enough to play in the NFL. Sure it may make the sport more watered down (see NBA), but that is not the players fault. I am glad that Clarett lost from a football fan standpoint, but I think legally he got screwed. Although there are starting to be reports that Clarett is whinning and not practicing hard, even if he gets cut I still think it was a good move.
Have you heard about KC and all the arrests going on at training camp? Who would have thought Wisconsin was such a party place?
I have heard about all the crazy arrests. Damn cops trying to ruin our team.
I think the AFC West is the only division where any one of the teams could win the division.
Who is your surprise playoff team this year? Mine is the Lions. They are much improved in a weakening division.
MMMMM! Lions is a good pick. I don't know how surprising it would be, but I am going to go with the Cowboys for my sleeper. Also maybe the Cardinals. I wish Mike Martz would get fired already so I could become a Rams fan. I just can't root for them with Martz at the helm.
Well, reading today that Clarett is getting cut. I think that he is an idiot for taking an incentive based contract. He could have had $400,000 guanranteed, now he gets zilcho. He took too much time off from football.

maurice clarett should go to philly. philly has needed a running game since forever. he just couldn't make it on a team with so many good backs.
we're gonna beat the donks twice this year.
that's right jvo twice!
go chiefs!!
I don't doubt that KC will sweep the Broncos. I am going to spend the last week in September in Denver with my family. I went online and bought 2 tickets (@ $140 a piece for nosebleed section) for the KC v. Den Monday Night Game. Hopefully the Broncos will win so I don't get pissed off about blowing that much money just to see my team lose. Excited to get inside that new stadium though.

i hope you have fun at the game jvo.
will it be freezing by then?
i predict the chiefs will run it 4o times in that game.
Thanks DP! It probably won't be freezing yet, but it will be pretty damn cold by the end of the game. First snowfall usually happens around Oct. 15 in Denver. Anything is possible though.
Yeah, Den vs. KC games will be all about turnovers and whose Def is crappier. I think Den's d is better (even with the improvements KC made), but Trent Green is a whole lot better than Jake the Snake. Either way, they should be a lot of fun to watch.
