COMO Floattrippers UNITE

This will be the first time I am a part of this legendary event.
I have been on a couple floattrips before but never on this river.
If any of you veterans have any advice on what to bring let me know.

Also I have a Sam's Club membership and was wandering if any como floattripers would like to pool together for some cheaper food and supplies.

I am also looking for a potential car pool (preferably a larger vehicle than my 83 320i.

If you've been on float trips before, you know what to bring. Nothing unusual here. The river is pretty calm [perfect for getting really slammed].

Also, there is a clubhouse that sells ice & supplies, plus breakfast & dinner [if needed].

Beer
Water Shoes
Beer Cozy
Strap to hold eye glasses
Beer
Air Mattress/extra blankets for sleeping
Bug Spray
Sun Screen
Beer
and maybe some food


The nice thing about the float trip is if you forget something, you can pretty much rest assured that somebody else will have brought it.

Great idea about Sam's Club. Especially for beer and snacks!!!!!

I won't have any room for passengers, but I should have some room for cargo. I will be leaving Friday at noon. As the time approaches, if you should need some extra cargo space, just let me know.

Items I bring:
Swimwear! I guess you can go naked if you like, but others may avoid you.
Liquor! (Mmmmmm woodchuck)
Water-Keep hydrated
Power snacks-bananas for potassium, gatorade, cheese sticks, granola, trail mix.
Bungees!-007 and I have a limited number of these.
Cooler
Dry Bag-Especially for the smokers. If you use space in someone elses, you can spend your whole trip chasing the dry bag down for smokes!
Watergun-To spray Bubz down every now and then. :D
Tent
Chair
Food

Technically you are only supposed to bring cans of beverages on the river, no bottles.
I'm sure there is other crap that I bring, these seem the most important.

me and Duckplucker were at the finish line on the last float day. we could see the dock where they pick us up and Kurt and Becker tip our cannoe ... so me and duckplucker had to swim the rest of the way pulling our sinking cannoe and no one was there to laugh at us thank god

I probably can. Once we get closer I should know for sure. When are you all leaving? I am going to try to leave Friday morning. I may have to take my sister to the airport early Friday morning in which case I will be full. I am hoping someone else can do it!!!!! If that is case, I should have plenty of room.

Gracias Soul Queen. The only thing I could remember about the drive was that I had to make a right turn off 63 some point past Rolla. This will make it a lot easier.

My mom said that I can borrow her "dog hauling van" if need be. It would haul lots of stuff, but has no AC or seats in the back, so any passengers would be uncomfortable. If we can send stuff with you, though, the ride down would be much sweeter in my new car (graduation present to myself), but at least we have a "plan B" in case you're full. Keep me posted.
