Last night I awoke to the feeling of something crawling on my back. I quickly brush it off and head for the Light switch. When I find and kill the critter. I quickly Identify it as the dreaded Brown Recluse Spider.
Today I cleaned my ENTIRE room looking for webs and more importantly eggs. I hate spiders to begin with but spiders that make your flesh rot are by far worse.
Anyone know a good way to get rid of this pest without too many chemicals
Now I will feel things crawling on me for at least a week.
ack!
move?!
i thought the brown recluse was supposed to be more, you know, reclusive, not crawling on people's backs and shit...

if you find a way let me know. my apt has a little spider problem and lately i've just used my shoe. i got one the other day that was huge. it made a loud thud when it hit the ground and i'm pretty sure i heard it swear at me as i hit it. seriously.

brown recluse don't make webs. they are one of those cool jumping spiders.
my old house was riddled with them when I first moved into it. they were runnin' the joint. Here's the deal with their eggs. They're layed under the floor board.
If your building has an unfinished basement get down there with a broom and sweep the ceiling and that should take care of your problem.
In the meantime, be careful when you pick up laundry off the floor and that kinda thing. also, don't smash one with your hand, use a sandal or something. Spiders instictively attack at the moment of their extinction. If you gotta big recluse you can actually see it jump up from the floor as the sandal comes down on it.
