Yeah, a few people have mentioned Snow Patrol to me.. I'm gonna have to give them a listen soon... and the Arcade Fire are also on my "to do" list.

I put off buying this album until about three weeks ago, and I don't know why I waited so long. I think it lives up to all the hype. There is one really slow song in the middle that is kind of boring, and actually uses the phrase "a watched pot never boils" which still makes me cringe every time I hear it, but tracks #1, 4, and 9 are GREAT and I never get sick of them. At least not yet. But I've been listening to it almost every day since I got it and I still enjoy it.
So buy it!!
i'll have to check it out. i saw snow patrol open for interpol last year, but they didn't really do much for me. maybe i just wasn't in the right mindset for it then. i'll give it another whirl.
poof, u should definitely check out arcade fire. i'm freaking addicted to that album right now.

slam, I am curious...do you like "Tunnels" better or "Power Out?" Those are my favorite songs on Funeral, but "Lies" runs a close second.

i couldn't agree more..its one of the new albums that i've become addicted to lately as well....i haven't taken it entirely off of my playlist yet either. however...in the last 2 weeks, i've managed to grab 500 new albums or something...so its catchup time in listening...or maybe its just ketchup time....mmmm....

poofdogg, what new albums did you get?
Bob Mould's new one is on my short list of cds to buy, but I am really poor.
Here are a few artists that I think everyone will like : Band of Bees, Diferenz, The Herbaliser, 5ive Style, Alter Ego, & Arkestra One.
Also, Four Tet has a new one out (I know you're a fan Andi), although I thought it was kinda strange upon first listen. It certainly isn't like the other stuff they put out.
Oh yeah, I probably mentioned them before, but I think everyone would enjoy Brazilian Girls.

Thanks for the tip, Scott. I am planning to go to Slackers tonight and buy at least 3 cds, but I haven't decided which ones yet, other than Bob Mould. I have a huge list of cds I want to buy.
I heard a little bit of Dungeon, and they sound pretty cool.
Also, I have just begun to deduce who everybody on the messageboard is--so far I noticed Scott, Meta, Chad, Cam, Paul, JVO? I think. Hi everybody.
