Noticed this on the calendar. Anybody going?

I remember when Slam, SQ & I went long ago [with Dave & Caroline]. What was that 5,6,7 years ago? Jeez time flies.

That was a really fun weekend. I recall going to the taste & the Aquarium. So much food, so little time.

I also recall catching 2 fireworks shows & munching on some great Chicago-style pizza. Sweet!

Dave & Caroline had a little spitfire kitten at the time. We went to the fireworks in Evanston, came back home & the kitten had eaten the stash.

Finally, we jetted up to Kenosha to go to the 'Adult Store & Smoke Shop.' What a wacky little shop.

Ah, memories...

yeah, i was thinking about that weekend the other day. wonder what constantine is doing these days? if only pmaxx would frequent the board more.

i dunno about taste... i haven't been the last few years because it was so damn hot, but this summer has been super nice so far in chicago, with temps generaly in the 70s and 80s. i would feel more inclined to go if the weather is super nice.

however, i've discovered way, way better food this year through the nights of gluttony. the taste has a lot of small portions of decent food for a lot of money. i think i mostly enjoyed it the first time we went just for the sheer size of it. but now i'm a little less enthralled with giant crowds.

maybe we'll go this weekend. it's all up the air at this point. laina and i were talking about going to the botanical gardens, too.

don't think i'm hitting the taste this year.. too pricey, hot and crowded.

i might hit it up sometime this weekend. not sure when.
