ipod help

Hey everyone,
I just got an ipod and I'm trying to get my mp3's organized on it. My question is most of my mp3's don't have album and artist information, and I can't get my shit organized in a maneable way. Is there any way to get this information into itunes, as I have never downloaded from itunes before. Is there any way to organize everything by directories and subdirectories.

for organizing, i had to do it by hand. to get artwork first i got the iTunes Art Importer (you can google it) which has about a 80 percent success rate. for the rest of the artwork and the CD info i use http://www.allmusic.com
