[will ferrell voice from Old School] it's gloooorious!
My Mom makes something kinda like that. Although is that frosting on the Meat Cake? If so that is totally gross. Although, without the frosting, it looks yummy. Sort of like meat loaf. I think my mom's is actually more like a pie then a cake. Sort of like a meat quiche pie with cheese and veggies cooked inside (no t-bone design though). Very tasty!!!!! Glad it is almost lunch time.
i think the frosting is mashed potatoes.
which seems weak, to me. they shoulda frosted that puppy with lard!

Omg, I am totally going to invent the meat cupcake version of these. I will be rich. You are all invited to my yacht party. Mrjohnchimpo, you will receive royalties for posting the original meat cake recipe in the form of meat cupcakes. Enjoy. My secret ingredient: :spam: ...really I just wanted to use that smiley.

That's awesome!!!
I used to work for a place that did wedding cakes. One thing that was really popular (that I had never heard of) was a Groom's cake. They are "traditionally" chocolate cakes served next to the fancy white wedding cake, but are often in humorous shapes. One that was very popular in Columbia was the Turkey cake or the Tiger cake. Made to look like a real life animal and the cake was red velvet, so when you cut into it, it looked like, well, a real life animal.

In the movie Steel Magnolias someone makes a groom's cake that was an armadillo made of that red velvet cake. Looked hilariously horrid.
