here's what it all means.

kc offense vs stl Defense: the chiefs had improvement in ball control and that's good. but, the rams are a bad defensive football team. so don't get all excited yet.

the best sight was brodie croyle handling pressure well. he could be the QB of the future.

the back up line men were not able to open up a running lane for bennett, who used to be a starter. so i'm not worried about bennett. he's a real good guy at backup.

kc defense vs. stl offense: here's where the real news was. kc shut the rams down. i know that the rams didn't play holt or bruce. but kc really stuffed the run. tamba hali showed that he is kc's best pass rusher, getting a sack an fumble. DJ had a monster game. he is already a top 10 nfl LB.

nice progress by the men in red. they really needed to do something well.

looks like the rams have alota work left to do. but they will have holt and bruce to throw to normally and they can score enough points to win 8 or 9 games. 9-7 might win thier division. seattle is gonna get hurt and suffer the curse of the super bowl loser. they won't even make the playoiffs. i think the rams can win more games than AZ, just by outshooting some teams with that offense of thiers.

no significant injuries on either side. and that's the best thing.!

I originally thought that the Rams would go 8-8, but I now think it will be a miracle if they finish .500. I predict 3rd in the NFC West.

Still they are better off in the long term by getting rid or Martz.

Man I hate agreeing with JVO, but I have to on this one. I watched the Rams play the Fins last nite & they stunk. Not worried about offense, but defense is as bad or worse than ever. Granted, its pre-season. But why, oh lord, why can't we tackle anybody? We haven't been able to tackle anybody for years. Just when Lovie was getting a decent defense together, he takes off for the Bears. And looky who has a terrific defense & looky who has none.

The only thing working in our favor is that SF is in our division. I think we can finish ahead of them at least [even though 2 of their 4 wins last year came against the Rams - how we can get swept by the worst team in football is beyond me].

Go Rams!

Well, let me preface this by saying that I am ALWAYS wrong.
However, I think the Fins have a real shot at being a quality team this year.
They also [IMHO] have a shot at winning the division.
Just last year they finished 9-7 with Gus Frerotte at QB, and Culpepper should be able to do just as well. Pats were only 10-6 division title winners last year. And the Bills & Jets suck. So we'll see.
