View Full Version : mtv video music awards, 2005
who else is gonna watch these bad boys tonight?
i like to use them as an opportunity to 'check in' with what's going on in the other musical world, the one that they show on tv, play on the radio, and photograph for magazines. you know, the shitty one.
good times, good times.
sq & 007: got gigs as 'seat fillers' for the show tonight? gonna go hit all the after parties?
You guys aren't even cool enough to live here in Miami & experience the wonderful cornucopia of talent that is the VMA's.
WOW!

THE R KELLY PERFORMANCE IS THE WORST EVER!!
I need more thumbs to give 4 thumbs down.
out of curiosity, what did you think of that moving performance Matty?
I think he made gay people everywhere look worse. 007 and I thought that it was a joke at first. ouhhhhhhh.

I missed it. But I don't need to see the VMAs to know R Kelly sucks goat balls.
i mean, i knew r. kelly sucked before, but the trapped in the closet song/video is truly bile churning. and the performance of it during the vmas was like a big ol' shit blizzard.
and what the fuck is with diddy? sean-puffy-combs-puff-daddy-puffy-p-diddy-diddy-cock-monkey is a no talent fuck; how does he get the hosting job? i think he's a prime candidate for immenent death syndrome. i mean, i just think that he must be mortally ill, so the rest of the entertainment world is just being really nice to him, like 'oh diddy, i know he's marginally retarded, but he might be dead tomorrow, so just let him get up on stage for a bit. sure sure, call him whatever he says'.
and he's still coopting biggie smalls. i'm tired of your half-assed memorials to your dead mentor, puffy. try to do him proud by sewing your fucking mouth shut and staying off my goddamn televion for five fucking minutes.
i have seen a total of two guitars in the first 2.5 hours: one in green day, one (2?) in coldplay. other than that, it's been a lot of very bad rap. at least missy is getting a lot of awards.
i forgot the simpsons premiered tonight. damn!
and why do people always thank god? i mean, do they really think god chose them to win the award this year? god was like 'ashley simpson is such a kunt; i'm going to give the award to linkorn park cause they totally rawk! shout out to my man michael, and my number one fan, my son jesus! whoooooootttttt!'. like god ain't got better shit to be worrying about than who wins the best new r&b award at the 2005 American Music Television Video Awards?
argghhh.
I miss the old school rap like Dr. Dre, Erick Sermon & Snoop. Snoop barely even gets any respect anymore, even though he is easily the coolest motherfucker at the whole damn show. What happened to hip-hop?
So much no-talent crapola. God, brain hurts. Even Coldplay isn't as good as they were last year. They won't even be there next year. And you all may like all that Missy Elliott crap, but that song that she is winning awards for SUCKS!
One guitar group that you missed out on Slam : The Killers. I grabbed this album & am forming an opinion (it may be alright).
Yahh!! The float trip theme song won an award! Go Gorillaz!
Finally, Diddy sucks. Kanye is still as popular as last year (whoever he is). Next year Kanye will host the show.

007's quote for My Chemical Romance: "Go Back to the Coffin"
That says it all.

I skipped that shit and saved myself the bitter feelings of animosity this year. Get some decent rock bands and I may watch it again someday. I did, however, watch the Fall Out Boy pre-perfomance because my friend is their tour manager. It was prety funny seeing him on MTV on the side of the stage watching over things.
fall out boy got the mtv2 award, which the fans voted on, so they must be making a bit of a splash.
and seriously, mc hammer was their big surprise performance? give me a fucking break. i was hoping it would be stevie wonder, or someone else with some actual talent.
