I was weary of buying Suikoden V. After the gradual dissapointment between 3 and then the worst, 4. I figured the women leading the project (dont remember her name at the moment). Did so bad she ran the game into the ground. I remember reading an article before it came out about how she didnt like how long the previous series was, and she wanted to cut alot of it out.
Surprisingly though after hearing a good word about Suikoden V, I decided to check it out. I havent completed it yet. But it reminds me alot of Suikoden II which in my opinion (if you've played it ) is one of the best RPG's of all time. 108 Playable characters, a growing castle, deep character and story development, a mix of stradegy and turn-based battle system which includes all the tradition elements plus Rune powers, and Combination attacks.
Suikoden V has re-adopted all these ideas, and so far seems to be a great RPG. Its slow to start getting into the good stuff but once it picks up its great! Only thing different is its alot more difficult to get all 108 Stars ( the playable characters)
