I think it's an acquired taste. The first one I ever had I was like, hmmm...not so sure if I like the taste...but after about 3 (in a row), I was hoppin'!!!!!!

I never had any until Twilight Fest June 2005, an energy-sucking, horrible event during which downtown businesses are roped into staying open late so dumbshits who never come downtown can roam around with their giant SUV-sized strollers and ill-behaved dogs in a "non-threatening" environment. Red Bull was doing some promotional thing where girls with coolers full of Red Bull came around to all the downtown businesses and handed out free Red Bull. They gave me three, and I drank all of them.

So, in short, I do like the taste of Red Bull.

if only we could import coca sek from colombia - that really is made with coccaine, well at least the same plant. sounds like the good old days of coca-cola....

I've always thought RB tastes synthetic. I don't mind it so much. But then I don't drink coffee for the flavor. In fact, I disavowed coffee drinking for awhile and indulged in caffeine pills. With those, you can drink what you like and still escape the orbit of your ordinary threshold for motivation.

It's rather old news, but you can try mixing RB and vodka for some kind of effect. I went to London a few years back and asked for a cocktail at a bar - I was presented with precisely one choice - RB and vodka. I doubt that speaks to what all bars in London offer, but I did find it interesting.

the vodka red bull drink is the only way i've ever managed to drink the stuff. i tried rb once on its own, and i think the vodka actually makes it taste better. just not good enough to willingly consume.
