...increased to 3/10 tonight, I think. I can guess that approximately 0/10 people on this board care about Google pagerank, but I thought I would mention it.

Weird... and then it dropped to 1/10 immediately after my post. I hope I'm not an albatross. I'm sure there's something I don't know abou the Google pagerank algorithm.

google runs lots and lots of servers, and they're not all in sync. depending on which one you hit, you might get a different pagerank.
more likely, though, you only get pagerank on the front page of b2p, not any of the deep pages. i still see pagerank 3.

Yup, what slam said. I've always seen:
http://www.boardtopieces.com/ : 3/10
http://www.boardtopieces.com/index.php : 1/10
and all the subpages have no rank... which is pretty typical of most message boards I think due to the dynamic page structure .php?id=blahblahblah
There is also board archive section mainly for SE spider food that has everything in straight .html format, but it doesn't look like those have ranked anything as of yet:

We need some good backlinks to help pick things up! :coffee:

Got it. I clicked on the B2P logo at the top of the page, and I still got the 1/10. But I see now the 3/10 refers to the link minus ".../index..." Don't worry, intrepid believers (as Stan Lee might say), we'll bring this up to 4/10 soon enough. Plenty of good thinkers on this board. Cheers.
