I'm really looking forward to this weekend!
007 and I are going to be in Chicago just a couple of nights but I hope to see some peeps when we are there.
its been awhile! Are the leaves turning yet? I'm planning on taking mad pictures at the sculpture park in Minneapolis. (I think the wedding is near there).
Also, is it rude for me to wear a white sweater with a dark purple skirt to the wedding.
007 says its rude because the bride will be wearing white. No offense, but I'm not for sure how much 007 knows about wedding etiquete.
What do the ladies have to say? I'm not wearing a white dress or anything.

we have plans on friday night to hit The Long Room. hopefully introduce 007 and SQ to some of the chicago B2P crew, like The Assassin, Hotfoot, and Talking Sandwich (among others) thursday night, after you guys get into town, we might swing by paul's place for a few well-earned homebrews :>

You'll be among friends, so probably nobody will get upset, but...technically, nobody should wear white but the bride.

Another ettiquete tidbit that ya might not know...if the bride has an appendectomy the week before the wedding it is in bad taste to have one yourself until after the couple is wed.
If you haven't heard yet, Katie had her appendix out on Saturday and is recovering okay. Hopefully, she will be off the dope when we tie the knot.
And yes, the leaves are right around their peak right now. I hope they have the decency to stay on the trees so you can get a good look at em.

I think the no white thing is stupid. Its a white sweater, with a purple skirt.
Mainly all I own are really bright colors, living in the sunshine.

wear yer sweater, s'cool. Katie sez it don't matter, so long as other women are not wearing anything that would cause others to mistake them for the bride.
Tony and my parents and Veronica and Katie's brother Peter are rolling in late tonight. Phil and Katie's parents in tomorrow. A few others rolling in on Friday (dp, nerdy girl, matty?) Saturday crew (007, soulqueen, slam, lainafair, my sisters with kids, Claudia, some college buddies). I don't think anyone is going to try to make it in first thing sunday. Many people leaving sunday, some staying on for the night.
Definitely post or pm me if you have questions. I have borrowed a laptop and can be of assistance.

I didn't take her side because she's a girl. I took her side because you were razzing her, and being that she's married to a Lackland, I'm sure she puts up with enough of that :p

I don't think it's rude at all. I don't think their are any fashion taboos anymore. Maybe red at a funeral, but other than that I think you're OK. No veil, though. That might be pushing it.

I don't own a veil I think.
I have an old hat from my great grandmother from the '30's. It awesome, and it has a veil attached. But I wouldn't wear out.

I'm leaving tomorrow at two or threeish. My mom ridiculed me for having nothing to wear to a wedding. She referred to my clothes as "funeral attire." Go figure.
I'll check in with Bangg when I get there and get a hotel room. *wink*
My moms gave me her credit card and told me to buy a nice outfit for the wedding--cha-ching!! Anybody wanna go shopping Saturday?

Good times!
Friday - We hung out in Chicago & checked out the Bean & the Long Room. Met a couple of heads from BTP. Also drank some of Paul's delicious homebrew.
Saturday - road-tripped to Minneapolis & hung out with Pauly.
Sunday - Beautiful wedding ceremony at the Walker Art Center. Drank many Mimosas & partied it up.

It was a great couple of days. Its been a couple of years since I got to enjoy fall. I forgot how much it makes me want to sleep!
