science of sleep

Hey children...Burger and I just went to see this movie: Science of Sleep.

Quite a cute little movie. It fucked with my brain tho. My theory is that the main character was a narcoleptic. However, I could be wrong. He might just be a psycho.

all-in-all, it was an artsy flik with some subtle hints at the uniqueness that is quasi-sleep mornings!

we saw this over the weekend, i knew it would be one for the big screen. and it was. very visual and interesting, good interpretations of "sleep". it was also much funnier at times than i was expecting. the audience was packed and everyone at times was just rolling. added bonus of seeing films in the theater.

it was also pretty depressing. my bf was really bummed out afterwards, which i was not expecting. its just sad to see mental illness manifest itself in such real and disruptive ways, although creative and wonderful at times. i had heard that the ending kinda dropped off and was somewhat disappointing, but i guess i don't know how else it could have ended. at least this way there is still some hope...?

definately worth seeing.
