Sideways Huh?

O.k. so what is deal with the movie Sideways? Is it called Sideways because at some point in the movie you are guarenteed to fall over and begin snoring? How is it that such a boring, crappy, ridiculus, (did I say boring) movie gets so much pub among the movie elitists of the world. None of the characters were likable in the least and the only thing I could imagine that would be worse than watching the movie, is to actually be on the vacation. Is there some life lesson that I missed in between my sproactic snores? Is there any part of the movie that is funny? exciting? interesting? provacative? The only thing more annoying than the movie are the people who think that since they watched the movie they have some sort of defacto PhD. in Wine. I just don' t get it. Someone tell me am I going off half-corked?

I guess it depends on what you like and if you had certain expectations for the movie. I thought it was really very witty and the acting was outstanding. Like the scene where Jack intentionally crashes the car into the tree "What the fuck? WHAT THE FUCK?", or when that chick beats the shit out of him with a friggin' motorcycle helmet... I'm sorry, I find that hilarious. :)
