yeah yeah i know this a help forum, but i thought i'd post here in case any of you know the solution.

i have this horrible, horrible malware on my computer called yieldmanager ......i have tried like 20 different things trying to get rid of it but still can't. i'm talking literally HUNDREDS of IE pop up windows every single day. which means of course that i can no longer get anything done on my PC.

has anybody dealt with yieldmanager or how to remove it? i have tried so much shit and i can't get rid of it. any help or insight or new-fangled apps that i can try would be much appreciated.

this is probably the retarded answer, but...

does it curcumvent pop-up blockers?

also, what about removing it from the "startup" menu in Start/Programs

here's someone else who has had similar problems:

i used to run adaware and spybot all the time, but the microsoft av program seems to catch just about everything without the other two. pretty good software for once.

still having pop-ups? made the switch from internet explorer to firefox yet?

haha, yes, i made that switch long ago. however, this virus was opening IE windows despite me doing everything in my power to remove IE...which i know is technically impossible.

Format & rebuild. It's daunting, but it feels so nice when its done.

hijackthis is also a great program for finding hidden shit. It will tell you without a doubt EVERYTHING that is running on your box. More than MSCONFIG even. It's a great way to find something's location and nuke it.

i've tried that, and it hasn't really helped. But maybe I'm doing something wrong or not reading the log properly.
