Today I was riding the bus when this older Latin American gentleman sits next to me. He looked to be about 70 or so.

I'm reading Calvin and Hobbes Scientific Progress Goes Boink on my way to work.

He starts chuckling as he's reading a little of my book off to the side. He then asks me what I'm reading, and where to buy the book.

It was pretty funny. I hope that old man goes out and buys himself some Calvin and Hobbes.

Calvin & Hobbes rule!

I just finished reading most of the series on our x-country travels. For some reason, they make great 'traveling' books. They are not too long & you don't have to dedicate all your attention to them. Hilarious!

What do you like to read when traveling on a long [or short] trip?

I've been reading my TIME magazine, Scientific American, or I typically end up playing my Playstation Portable the whole time. Nothing like a good game of football to eat up 2-4 hours on a plane. It flies by...haha.

I never got into Calvin and Hobbes for some reason, but a lot of my friends swear it's one of the best comics out there. I was an avid Garfield reader growing up though, I had like 50 of those books. Garfield made it cool to be a fat, lazy slob :)

When I travel, I usually just pick up some best seller at the airport and also maybe an US weekly or something trashy like that... I normally avoid those types of celebrity gossip mags unless I just need something to flip through on an airplane

i used to always bring some kind of music magazine, usually spin. but then it became a terrible publication, and rolling stone is a joke so now i just take whatever book i'm reading at the time.
