i work at Staples in columbia.

i have been collecting a record of my weirdest experiences with the public.
here are some of my favorites in no particular order.

1. i was asked by 2 different people if we sold a Snoopy desk set. Snoopy. from peanuts. at an OFFICE SUPPLY STORE.
"sure its right over here next to diapers and car batteries. just past the casket section."

2. a woman was looking for a pen that started with z.
when i asked her if it was zebra brand or this other z brand, she called me stupid. "stupid" actual quote.

3. an old lady assaulted me at the cash register. she grabbed me by the shirt while i was checking out another customer, in order to read my name tag. she wanted to complain to the manager because i offered for a second time to order a product for her, even though she had declined to have it ordered the first time.
matty actually witnessed this one.

4. just today an old man asked me if we carried a dry marker. not dry erase. a marker.....without ink. A MARKER....... WITHOUT INK!!!!!!

every one of these stories is 100% true.

more to come.

the other day, this married couple came into the store. i saw them standing in the furniture section and they were acting upset cuz no one was helping them. i tried ignoring them for a while, but they were persistant.

they started talking to me immediatly. they told me a constant stream of jokes and stories. it took me about 30 minutes to sell them a desk and get it carried out for them. during which time , they performed thier back and forth comedy routine. this consisted of them trying to outyell each other and put the other down for my amusement.

i listened, unable to get in a word, and laughed at them for the entire time they were in the store. what a couple of weirdos.

oh, by the way, it was babaorielly and dawn fox.:pokefun:

thanx for coming in.

i cant wait for your next visit.

When my 29 y/o sister was a wee one and was learning how to use the potty, she took a poo in one of the model toilets at the local hardware store. I still love telling that story...

This is a familiar story, unfortunately... :o

I totally crapped in a True Value store display toilet when I was a kid... when I went to get my mom and ask her where the fuck was the toilet paper, she freaked and we hauled ass out of there, lol.

I bet that shit happens all the time.
