The biggest show of my lifetime thus far is happening tomorrow night.

How did the your exhibit go, Laina?

It went really well... I handed out about 100 cards. There were so many people there that they stopped letting people in 2 hours before the show ended and started letting them in only as people left. There was a line around the block from what I was told.
In the meantime it was so packed that you really couldn't enjoy the art but from my understanding the opening night is more of a social event anyway.

hey lainia - did you see the obama/jesus sculpture that i've been hearing so much about in the press lately? any thoughts? if it had been made anywhere besides chicago, and in the wake of the holy week/choclate jesus sculpture here in ny, do you think anyone would have heard about this?

no not at all, it barely looks like Obama and its not particularly reminiscent of Jesus either.
Plus...it was kind of a piece of crap as far as construction goes...oh well, they'll eat up anything that makes a scene.

yeah, the obama/jesus statue was right around the corner from laina. of course, fox news was there.

i stared at that thing for a few minutes, but i had no idea it was obama until i saw it on the news.
