today was the first lawn-mowing of the season.
and i ask you: is there any greater waste of a man's precious lifetime than pushing a lawn mower?
i will never get those 2 hours back.
isn't there some kind of chemical that will kill the grass so it doesn't grow?

just plant trees. grass won't grow in too much shade. or plant a ground cover that only grows to a certain height. plant anything else. i think keeping the idyllic green grass lawn is stupid too, i'm all for "wild" greenspace.
but right now, living in an apartment in brooklyn without any ground to scratch around in, i don't have any of those options. so its the park for me, where someone else mows.

I actually kinda enjoyed mowing the lawn. At least the first few times of the season. After that, fuhgedaboudit.
Also, nothing smells better than freshly cut grass.

I have yet to mow the lawn this year... it keeps raining on the weekends in the STL, so I don't have a chance... it sucks, because there are still some leaves from the Fall that I need to mow. :o
