Well....I don't know which team played Denver on Monday night, but it most assuredly was NOT the Chief from the prior 2 weeks. They just didn't look like the same team. Green seemed to me like he was 'pushing' his passes instead of throwing them. And I'm still not sure what was up the holding penalties every time the Chiefs tried to return a kickoff/punt in the first quarter.


I'm just hoping they pick themselves back up and get ready for Philly next week, or they're going to get handed again.

First of all, Thanks SQ for sticking up for me. You are right, Chiefs fans should know better than to get all upity after only 2 games. I will gladly eat your bag of shit for ya'. Also, if DP gives you any more crap about reading the sports page, just remind him that he went 3-10-1 on his picks last week and I am almost positive you could have done better than that!

Yes, the game was a wonderful experience! Despite the fact that I was nearly hanging from the lights, I didn't have any problems seeing any of the beat down. Going into the game, I thought that Denver needed to:

Prevent Dante from breaking a big return
Hold Holmes/Johnson to under 100 yards rushing
Not turn the ball over

I felt like if the Broncos could do 2 out of 3 than we would have a chance to win. I never imagined that we would accomplish all three so easily. I am not sure what happened to the Chiefs. Even on their first drive the only reason why they were able to move the ball at all was because of a stupid Denver penalty. I can't believe that they were not amped up to play MNF against the Broncos. If KC had won it would have been very difficult for Denver to recover, but instead they were completely lifeless. The only thing they had any intensity over was holding Broncos, which they did early and often.

Random MNF observations:

I am sure that Roaf's injury was huge, but I must say, the KC offensive line is the biggest collection of holders I have ever seen. Pryce and Ekuban were held on every single play.
I think the ref's finally started to take pity on KC and just stopped calling penalties because that was all the line was able to do. There were two guys blocking Trevor Pryce and on nearly every play at least one of them would hold.

Whoever number 18 is for the Chiefs...he is absolutely worthless!

Seeing the nameless dipshit return to mile high was a real pleasure. Every time he got any where near the ball, 75,000 people would chant "Quitter, Quitter, Quitter". He played pretty well in the first quarter, but you could tell that it started to get to him because the more the chants continued the worse he played. Dick Vermin finally had to take him out of the game. I guess you should expect that from a quitter.

The smoking section at Mile High is the best place I have ever been to watch a football game. Everyone was trashed and yelling and screaming and high fiving and just partying their asses off. Several people had smungled flasks into the stadium (despite the fact that we were all frisked) and were gladly passing them around and at least two people were smoking J's. My sister and I went there in between the first and second quarters and ended up watching the entire second quarter from there just because it was so much fun.

If you are wearing the visiting teams jersey don't talk shit before the game starts and then whine when 75,000 people laugh at you after your team gets stomped.

If you are sitting in the second to the top row in an NFL stadium try not to get so trashed that walking down the steps turns into a 50/50 chance for survival. My sister and I took a bunch of shots in the parking lot before entering the stadium and when we finally go to our seats, I turned around and saw the field hundreds of feet below and the city and mountains in the background, I really had to concentrate on not vomiting.

The only way the Broncos are going to have games without turnovers is if Jake Plumber throws under 25 passes. Against the Chiefs he was 12 for 18.
