for bay area folks, an ad for a theatre show that might be interesting

Just a matter of hours till the opening of Tesla's White Pigeon Part One : STATIC! (http://www.mugwumpin.org/static-details.html) Come to our opening night Wednesday September 5th at 8:30 pm. It's been three years since our last Fringe and we're stoked to be back! Welcome to the unexpected. You've got five chances to get on the ride. Get. In. The. Theatre. Now.

Smooch, squeeze, and other nice things,
mugwumpin

Tesla's White Pigeon, Part One: STATIC

"When that pigeon died, something went out of my life. Up to that time I knew with a certainty that I would complete my work…" Nikola Tesla

Comets, eclipses, tea leaves. Graffiti, fortune cookies, the kamikaze crow thudding against the window. Go on, just try to stop reading the signs. Our brains are hardwired to communicate—to receive communications. The answer will come if you stare at the white noise long enough.

what's been said
"mugwumpin channels the juice of performance into the sloughs and sluices of the unsaid and half-said, the subliminal and the taken-for-granted. It's absorbing, nothing but theatrical—and therefore hard to describe. A catalogue of possible influences and parallels wouldn't do them justice."
-Ken Bullock Berkeley Daily Planet

"Madly inventive, strangely seductive, and productive of much thought and subtlety…"
-Robert Avila, San Francisco Bay Guardian

Hmmm Sounds interesting. I will have to see if I can squeeze it in. Next week is pretty solid.

I'm going to Treasure Island Music Festival
Going to A Giants Game
Going to see Air
Going to see a free music festival in Golden Gate Park this weekend. Indigo Girls will be playing. I've never been willing to shell out the dough to see them. It will be nice to see them for free!

It seems that I may be missing a few things. :D
