I haven't read the book, but the movie was really good. Very beautiful, very sad, very entertaining, and excellent acting. The director has a lot of faith in the audience to figure out what's going on sometimes, and I find that refreshing.

Netflix it, bitches! And tell me what you think.

The director, Tom Tykwer, also directed "Run, Lola, Run" and "Paris, je t'aime."

Why don't you just shut up, Bangg? It was the best movie ever!

Okay, it was a difficult topic, because it involves smell, and while my apartment is full of smells, I don't think it was the smells they were talking about in the movie...

thanks for the reminder fellas. i will add the movie to my netfilix and check the book out too. i love books about scent and other sensory perceptions. and i am curious as to how they reveal this experience in a film, since mostly smell is described through tastes and/or other smells. the last movie that did a good job of explaining this phenomenon was ratatouille. (maybe that's why i liked it so much.)
