I saw this over the weekend, and I have to say, I was pretty entertained. It's definitely got the old Grindhouse movie feeling of trashiness combined with ridiculousness. They know it's a ridiculous movie, so they go out of their way to make it even more ridiculous, right up to the end. I don't think the trailers I saw adequately represented this movie as the insane spoof that it is.

1. Carrot-chomping angry lead played by Clive Owen. He's sort of like a retired James Bond or Captain America. He's basically unbreakable, bulletproof, and grumpy.

2. Lactating Russian whore. She's awesome.

3. Cute little baby!! Like the cutest baby ever.

4. Something I really liked was that all the characters have some really good personality development, despite the fact that this is a mindless, violent excuse of a movie. Smith is personally offended by other people's bad habits. Due to the death of her infant, DQ is permanently lactating, therefore eternally motherly, despite being a dirty whore. Paul Giamatti as the villian constantly gets nagging phone calls from his wife, who apparently has no idea what he does for a living.

5. It's clever. Sort of. But don't go see it because you think it's going to be clever. Go see it to watch stuff get shot at and blown up.

6. SLAM--You're going to love it.

Yeah, he is an annoying dude. In the movie, he plays this utterly deplorable character.

If it weren't for you aversion to Paul Giamatti, SQ, I would think you would like this movie, too. If you liked the ridiculous fun of Van Helsing, you would like this.
