there's the last known photo of laina's blue bike, before it was stolen...

so, if we combine this with that software that can reconstruct 3d models of buildings from photos (or maybe the google van even 3d mapped everything with lasers) with google earth, will google be rolling out a second life style virtual realty / social network, that's actually earth?

it's kinda of scary how much freaking data they have...

that is pretty rad though.. now that they have Chicago done, i'm sure i'll use "street view" a lot more :)

now if they could just get a GPS to have "street view" when you're driving. it would make it all the better. wouldn't it be cool to be able to actually see the street youre driving on and where to turn? hmmm.

Hah, yeah I showed my mom that her house was on there, and the first thing she says is "Oh no, we didn't take the garbage cans to the backyard! They just had to take the picture on garbage day...."

I think they need to cover more ground though. My neighborhood is only half covered, they went halfway down the street north of me, and not at all down mine.
Sad face.

I'm going to put "ghostly images" in the windows so google pervs think there are spirits in our building or something.
