Sheesh "3800 N. Pulaski Rd." - is that even in Illinois? :help:
I'm in, but might need a ride... I checked out their site (http://www.smoquebbq.com/) and the 1/2 chicken platter sounds silly good.
Don’t let the pink, juicy meat scare you. We promise you it’s fully cooked. In fact, these yardbirds have been smoked for three hours, which is what gives the meat that color, flavor and juiciness uncommon for chicken.
Once they’re cooked through, we crisp the skin and finish them off with our sweet and tangy sauce.

Don't be such a whiny bitch downtown boy.
BTW, it's only a couple blocks off the Blue Line Irving Park stop. YES, PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DOES STILL EXIST!

this is actually the closest NoG's come to me (still gonna be over an hour with traffic).
i hope you survive your trip to the hinterlands. don't stray from the path, larryhead. ignore any sounds you hear coming from the trees. plug your ears with wax if you have to.

OK, it doesn't matter because these mofo's don't take reservations . . and capacity is like 55 people . .so we might not sit together . . regroup & discuss at the long room afterwards!

i might be up for the long room afterwards if the show me and my broad are going to don't run too long (old = bones creak = need sleep early most of the time). i'll call FA.
have fun! if anyone wants to smuggle out some barbecue sauce in their man-bags, go for it!

they ran out of food?? what the ?
they ran out of chicken. plenty of beef and pork though.
the place is small, and apparently they're featured on the food network this week, so i think they just hit their first wave of popularity.

while we was waitin but after i'd ordered i actually saw one dude with a drumstick sittin on his tray. i'd've boosted it for y'alls but i probably would've ended up accidentally eating it before i could give it to you.

also, i know it's been brought up here before, but the amount of smoke in the Long Room is friggin nasty - it's definitely worse than most bars.
no joke, my breath smelled like cigs when i got home because of all the cartons of secondhand smoke i inhaled. i even took a shower before going to bed to try and get the stench out of my hair and pores, but it didn't help much.
i can't wait until the city ban goes into effect :disgust:
