Went to the concert Sunday night. For an avid Young fan it was a perfect venue (Fox Theatre St. Louis), and awesome show. No glitz, no glamour, the first hour was just Neil sitting on a folding chair surrounded by 8 acoustic guitars. I was in heaven.
Came back out with the rest of his band and continued to rock for another 2.5 hours. Was well worth my $100. He played 2 encores to a packed house. The performance was almost 4 hours long, and he just ticked over to 62 years of age. :headbang:
The new CD is good: Chrome Dreams II. Has a couple songs in my opinion that rank up there with what are considered is most recognizable hits, particularily No Hidden Path[/U]. He had about a 15 minute solo on that piece. I also think Ordinary People has some staying power.
He only played a few songs off of the new CD, and focused mainly on old content, and got to hear The Loner, Cortez the Killer, and of course Cinnamon Girl (seems like he always plays that).

I've gotta hit Farm Aid one of these years. Seems like it always has a lineup that suits my taste.
