Jimmy Page is the same age as my mom. Somehow I find that depressing.

Do you think they ever got it on?
I seriously doubt it. My mom considers all the members of led zepplin to be a bunch of no talent, drugged out, devil worshippers. Maybe Conway Twitty though. :headbang:
I remember when I was a really little kid, my brothers and sisters tricked my mom into going to see the Who in concert with them. My mom is still pissed off about that.

Maybe that's where you got it from. OH!! I'm on fire today!

I was implying that you got your no talent, drugged out, devil worshippery because your mom formed the Beast with Two Backs with Jimmy Page.
This is your mom presenting herself to Jimmy:

Here's what happened next:
:humping:
There isn't a smilie to represent you springing forth from her loins, so we'll use this instead:

The official Bonnaroo 2008 lineup is out now and no Zep. Although Robert Plant is playing anyway, so maybe the other guys will just kind of show up? John Paul Jones was there last year and dropped in on a few people's sets.

I barely survived Bonnaroo 2007 so I think it would take a Zep reunion to get me back. My asthmatic lungs don't like sucking in dust and various forms of smoke for four days straight. That said, there is some awesome stuff on the '08 lineup:
Metallica, Robert Plant, Phil Lesh, Allman Brothers, Willie Nelson, BB King, Sigur Ros, Bluegrass Allstars (that is one HELL of a bluegrass lineup), MIA, Iron and Wine, Mastodon, Solomon Burke, Fiery Furnaces (favorite indie rock band), Dark Star Orchestra (best tribute band I've ever seen), and Battles
Bonnaroo seems to bring out the best in old performers. Ralph Stanley played in '07 and out of the three times I've seen him, he's never looked so energetic (although for Ralph Stanley, cracking a smile is energetic). Ornette Coleman played so hard he collapsed from the heat and almost died. I bet BB and Willie would kick it up a notch for the young pseudohippies too.
i would give various body parts to see sigur ros. i keep missing them!
i like fiery furnances, too, but they play a lot here in chicago. with no zeppelin (or portishead), i don't think i'll be making bonaroo this year either.

What do you think of recent Furnaces? I fell in love with Blueberry Boat so much that I made a 7-hour drive to see them in Nashville and then talked to Matt Friedberger about that album for about 20 minutes after the show, but I don't think they've come anywhere near that level of quality since. Although I liked the grandma album way more than most people did.
