just spent half an hour (along with everyone else in chicago) trying to get world series tickets...

and can i just say, ticketmaster sucks. like, they know that millions of people are going to hit their website. and lord knows they've got plenty of money (since i fork over $7 every time i see a damn show).... yet the site slows down, is retarded, tells me tix are on sale when they aren't, things break. ARGHHHGHG!!

can't this monopoly be bothered to HAVE A FUCKING FUNCTIONAL WEBSITE?

only a few thousand tickets actually went on sale to the gen. public. i can understand giving season ticket holders first dibs, but c'mon there aren't that many of them. how the hell are there so many tickets available on stubhub and shit? it's like they passed tickets out to brokers before they put them on sale.

all sorts of people on craigslist saying "got as many tickets as you need to any game, $1000". how the hell did they get so many tix? hmmmm. especially when the limit was 4 per person, max of 1 game. there were like 6 people in our office trying to get them, all to no avail.
