Oh shit. I guess I'm going to have to come out of the woodwork, don't I.
Well here's the lowdown:
1) Works busy. Really fucking busy and I am getting tired of it.
2) I was in Boston last week for my annual company training. Good times except I came down with the flu at the end of the trip.
3) I am trying to study for my SE (Structural Engineer) Exam in April. I'm a little nervous, plus it cost me $400 to sign up so I don't want to fuck it up.
4) I'm FINALLY starting to get work done on my condo. Hired a guy to help me out with a few things and it's starting to come together after a couple years. Still no bathroom doors or anything, but that's coming soon!
5) I bowl too much. I'm taking some time off from my Monday late night league, but my CDOT (Chicago Dept. of Transportation) league is getting serious. We are nearing the end and we are in 2nd place but very close to 1st. It's a little nerve racking sometimes because people in the league take it VERY seriously and the winning team gets like two grand or something like that.
6) I'll be working in Western Missouri for part of April and most of May doing structural inspections of overhead interstate sign structures. FUN!
7) The Assassin was the bowling name I was given by my teammates. Frankly, it's kind of lame and not very clever, but oh well. I didn't have much say in the situation.
8) Basically I don't know what the hell is going on and time is flying by way too fast. I haven't been very good about keeping in touch with everyone but I'm going to try hard to change that. Miss seeing everyone around.
So, there you have it. Now BACK OFF!
1) Were you born that way, or were you involved in some sort of terrible carwreck?
2) If you stopped touching it all the time, do you think it would heal faster?
3) What's your favorite part of a bridge?
4) What's the worst Chicago neighborhood, by whatever measure you deem fit?
5) What's the stupidest thing you've ever seen Larryhead do while drunk?

5. What do you think of the newest Radiohead album?
1) Truth
2) Toyota Corrolla (S Model of course, because I'm all about being fast and furious while at the same time economical)
3) Of course. Especially when they are fried.
4) Terminator (However I don't recognize the existence of T3 or the Sarah Connor Chronicles. Both are crap)
5) It's really good, but doesn't blow me away. Unfortunately nothing will compare to "The Bends".

1) Actually, I was in a carwreck thank you very much. It was Larryhead's fault of course. (No really, we got in a bad wreck together in high school).
2) Yeah, but what's the fun in that.
3) The abutments.
4) Lincoln Park. Need I say more.
5) Roll a tire down a street into a busy downtown intersection. That and hit on bartenders. What a trainwreck. :dizzy:

I think the official answer to #2 is "I'm gonna make make make you drunk, make you love drunk off my humps." But I like your answer better, so to hell with the rule book!
"Women in Refridgerator Syndrome" is when a female character is wastefully killed off to make a male character's story more interesting. For instance, Lady Jaye (of GI Joe) was killed off to make her husband Flint more of the brooding, angry type. This also happend with Wolverine, when Mariko died (and Silverfox, and various other women who have been foolish enough to fall in love with a killing machine who has a list of enemies a mile long). This also happened in Conan the Barbarian, funnily enough, when Valeria died. And Mockingbird of the Avengers. And the Punisher. And when Electra died for Daredevil. And several times that Jean Grey has died. Basically, it points to the male-centric audience/talent behind nerd culture, who either struggle to write a female character with real depth, are inherently disrespectful of strong female characters, or fail to accurately portray a male character without the crutch of permanently lost love.
So...do you think it's all a bunch of bullshit?

1) I think it's hilarious. I haven't watched it but I did see the gladiator bios on the web and I couldn't stop laughing.
2) Boy, I was VERY addicted to project runway when it first came out and had no problem letting people know. However, after about three seasons of it I stopped watching (i.e. I have no idea who Christian is). No I watch UFC :o
3) As long a band is not too gimicky in what they do I think a band can put out excellent music for a long time. Unfortunately this is not the case most of the time. The Strokes is a great example of being too focused in one thing to last. On the flipside, Yo La Tengo has managed to be creative and original for over 20 years because they are so diverse and aren't bound to a certain expectation of what they HAVE to be (besides awesome!)
4) This is a tough one. I would probably have to say Yo La Tengo because of what I explained above. It's hard to call any band your favorite when they only have one or two good records. Pavement would also be up there.
5) Definitely small venues. I hate big crowds and large venues tend to bring out idiots. I always have loved the Metro in Chicago because I have spent so much of my life seeing shows there.
6) God, I have no idea how we EXACTLY met but it was in high school. I think I was 14 or 15. Scary thinking I've known the jerk for half of my life!
