I heard Rockstar Games put out "the Warriors" yesterday (10/18), based on the cult-classic film:

They were showing the movie a few days ago, and game looks pretty damn close to it, actually. Will you buy?

I hope it won't be another State Of Emergency. Fun for an hour or so.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking... will this game be fun for more than an hour or so?
Gonna save my money, I think. Unless slam decides to pick it up. :)
i've decided to start boycotting sony products.
which, coupled with my microsoft boycott, is really going to fuck up the next generation consoles for me. nintendo revolution it is!
Why the Sony boycott, Slam?

Talking Sandwich has this game...... await a full review from him
because sony's become such a bitch of a corporation. they were so much better before they owned their own movie house and record company... back when they just made good technology. but now they're total dickheads, trying to integrate DRM into their players and media to lock us down so that we can only do what the great Sony wishes of us.
i mean, this is the company that created the walkman, but they can't even make something to compete with the ipod? they could, if they wanted, but they're just so damn scared people might pirate sony owned music! oh no!
then, this latest rootkit they install on your computer when you play one of their cds.... that is just totally uncalled for. you're gonna hack my computer and not tell me about it just to make sure i don't rip the cd? odious. you can't even remove it once it's on. they have a utility on their website, but it just hides the rootkit, doesn't remove it, and you have to give them a valid email address to even download it, which they immediately start spamming you on.
fuck off sony. you used to be a decent tech company, but now you're just another corporate bitch.

Sony fucking sucks. They have been crippling CD's with DRM (Digital Rights Management) without the artist's permission and they are trying to control how YOU listen to your music. They are a bunch of fucking cry-babies because they cannot compete with Apple:
"this DRM is not at all about making the CD immune to piracy. Instead, its part of a pissing contest between Sony and Apple: Variety writes that "the new copy protection scheme — which makes it difficult to rip CDs and listen to them with an iPod — is designed to put pressure on Apple to open the iPod to other music services, rather than making it dependent on the iTunes Music Store for downloads."
You mean to tell me that this isn't even about P2P and unauthorized downloading? How annoying is that? Sony has their panties in a bunch cause Apple has been kicking their arses all over the innovation and digital music schoolyard? So the mature response from a major global conmsumer electronics corporation is to take their ball and go home?
DRM is now being used as a competitive economic weapon -- not as an anti-piracy tool.
As a music consumer, I find this ridiculous. Why I cannot use a legally purchased CD -- because Sony is miffed at Apple for creating the 2000's version of their Walkman -- is beyond absurd. I am very, very annoyed at this. "
DRM Crippled CD: A bizarre tale in 4 parts (http://bigpicture.typepad.com/comments/2005/10/drm_crippled_cd.html)
And finally, they are installing shit and cloaked/hidden files on your computer WITHOUT your permission whenever you try to play one of these bullshit DRM protected CD's... which you CANNOT uninstall:

So i tried playing "The Warriors" on xbox . .and here is my condensed review:
It is a cross between WCW vs NWO (nintendo64) & Ready to Rumble (dreamcast) + swearing.
Graphics are begging for some AA . . frankly, compared to any PC game it looks like shit and since there is 0 innovation, I'd say rent it if you are a big fan of the movie.
All I'm saying is you can pour syrup on Rockstar's shit but it still don't make it pancakes.
