1) I'm designing a couple boat houses for the majority share holder of CDW and a guy on Forbes top 200 (net worth = $3.2 Billion)
2) I'm designing huge construction systems for a major bridge being constructed in Conneticut (Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge).
3) I'm trying to redo everything for the Millenium Park Bridge construction.
4) I have site meetings every day for the next 5 business days.
5) No one is in the office to help me (and the ones that are are retarded).
6) I'm trying to prepare for my structural engineering licensing exam in two weeks for which I am totally not prepared for.
7) In 3.5 weeks I leave for Missouri for three weeks and need to have my plate cleaned off at work.
8) I am supposed to be coordinating structural inspections of the foundation of my condo building.
9) I am supposed to begin planning the landscaping reconstruction at my condo.
10) My grandmother passed away two weeks ago and I was out of town for the funeral so I'm playing catch up and trying to make sure my mom doesn't have a nervous breakdown.
11) My condo is still a fuckin' mess.
SO, how you like them apples Larryhead? :grumble:

1 - spending most of my time leveling up my house and my world of warcraft character.
2 - working on redesigning new vial labels for our drugs.

you're designing a boathouse? what does that entail? i want in.
(also, i want in on the landscaping.)
My grandmother passed away two weeks ago
man, i'm sorry to hear that. i saw the three grandparents i really ever knew over the weekend... they're all getting pretty aged. a lot of my family was gone for the holidays, so i had a lot of alone time with them, which was pretty cool (and rare in a large family when i rarely see them except for holidays)
my condolences.

Actually the architect that was hired has already laid out what the boat house is to look like, I just have to do all the engineering to make sure it doesn't collapse or fall into the beach. It's actually being built into the side of a bluff that will have a ramp that goes to the beach. The owner will have an amphibious "boat launcher" that will take the boat from the boathouse, down the ramp onto the beach and into the lake. Essentially it's a glorified garage/patio for a 30ft boat and some waverunners. It's on lake michigan up in Winnetka. Must be nice to have a shitload of money.

It must be really nice. I want a boat patio.

Yeah, I met the owner and the rest of the team (architect, contractor) at the owners house on Monday. As much as it irritates me it really is beautiful along the north shore. I drove from my house up Sheridan Rd to the owners house and the homes are cool as hell. Not gigantic (relatively speaking) and obnoxious as stuff you see up in the old corn fields of Barrington and such.

And when the zombie virus comes, a boat house is a great place to fort up.
I've been:
1. Here the whole time, so really nothing new.
2. Just got my 2nd Degree Black Belt.
3. Training for a tournament coming up in Kansas City. (I'm up for state champ in weapons and forms, but I'm making up ground in sparring.)
4. Dumping boys/finding new boys.
5. Trying to set up a sweet deal to obtain massive amounts of plutonium. Or take over the black market plutonium industry, if I can figure out which bad guy to take down. Possibly one select, surgical strike; possibly Godfather-esque multiple simultaneous strikes...

I've been busy too:
1. Planning a June 21st wedding (though, honestly, most of the work is done. NOT Bridezilla over here!).
2. Getting acclimated to a new job which has been pretty successful with killing my spirit and taking away any joy I get from teaching. This includes attending meetings, getting warned that I'd be pink-slipped which never surfaced (thereby inspiring panic and causing me to focus on getting a new job), managing four preps, and trying to create impressive lessons to be observed for my yearly evaluation.
3. Putting together the new house.
4. Worrying (in a very general sense).
5. Trying to be comfortable/happy in an entirely new environment
6. Killing koi.

Well, some things are best left to the professionals, right? :p
Plus, I'm not sure my critical suggestions, like parachuting into the Ceremony site to AC/DC's "Back in Black" were being taken seriously by all project stakeholders.

I disagree: I'd rather elope. It's a day for the families, in my opinion.
