i wish they had this for new york. the mta has an aspect of their website that is supposed to function like this, but it sucks. its sucks so bad that it is a waste of time to try and use it. another point for chicago!

more awesomeness from cta: signs that will show you exactly where the gps-enabled bus/train is, while you're waiting for it

more interesting is that the cta will actually make money off of it, by selling geo-aware ads on these digital signs, like 'go check out that mcdonalds across the street for blah blah blah'

funny that london was doing this four years ago with their buses when i was there. same with tokyo and their trains two years ago.
