Power at work but not at home (Priorities). Plenty of water & beer (Unfortunately warm at this point. Time to switch to shots.)

Been BBQin'. Reading Poe stories in the dark. Could be a while on the lights. *Fingers Crossed*

Yeah, has anyone heard from 007 or Soul Queen in the last few days?

Oh, there you are.

Has the power been out long? I was reading there are long lines for water, ice and gasoline. And still 6 million without electricity.

was the storm itself pretty crazy? how many hurricanes have you two been through since getting down there?

Yes, definitely crazy. We hid out in the closet for about 5 hours. It was like an extended tornado. 75 mph winds with gusts easily over 100mph. No windows busted, and we still have water, so can't complain too much (yet). Been through 4 hurricanes total. It's old hat at this point, although my boss says it is highly unusual (Thanks global warming).

Another nice thing is the weather is fantastic right now. We could be sweating our asses off with no A/C, but it's been about
60-80 degrees.

No power since Monday at 5 a.m. Waiting patiently. They got the power back on in the parking garage across the street (bastards). I can deal with no power, but the worst part is throwing away all your refrigerated foodstuffs.

Alive and well. Very lucky that we didn't lose any stuff, windows stayed whole and complete.

Marley was a little scared. Though now she isn't that afraid of regular storms anymore.

The University was closed for the rest of the week. It was nice to be able to stay at home and avoid the madness. I think the craziness is finally dying down. We know some peeps that still do not have power.

The power came on just in time. We were running out of charcoal. I forgot it on the hurricane supply run. I think alot of the craziness is due to hysteria...fed by the media.

If you filled your car up, got the bottled water like you were supposed to, then there wasn't too much to do except stay at home.

Pretty scary how easily life can still be derailed by a storm. Glad to hear you guys are OK and hopefully things are returning to normal.

Yep everything is good. It is funny how we take power for granted.

yeah, our block lost power for about half an hour the other night. larryhead and i were at a total loss with how to entertain ourselves without electricity.

so we just ended up spooning and singing songs to each other.

Yeah, it's really strange that these "accidental" power outtages seem to be occuring more and more regularly lately.

I'm beginning to suspect foul play.
