dude they're on the road against a good team (who has a better record, actually). sounds about right. home field's typically worth like three points in the opening line i think. pit would be -4 at home.

pittsburgh is good. the redskins are not. i don't pay attention to the standings.

are you basing your opinion of the redskins off their opener against the giants? they're a totally different team if you've watched them the last few weeks. honestly, the NFC east might be the toughest division in football (you'll notice both of the steelers' losses are against that division btw [and one is vs the eagles, whom the redskins beat]). if either of these teams is overrated, IMO, it's the steelers. their O-line is a joke.

and in any case i dunno how you can act like the vegas line's crazy. the game's a toss-up.

Hey FA, thanks for not making me eat shit over the Bronco debacle.

For some reason the Fish seem to own the Broncos. I thought since the game was in Denver that we might stand a chance, but unfortunately Cutler decided to throw a million interceptions.

Man the AFC West stinks!!!!

oh man, yeah i thought about you joe but ain't no way i'm talkin shit to anyone (unless they a jets or bills fan) after the past few years. dolphins fans just got no room to talk. i'm'a take my 4-4 and be happy.

you guys do look in trouble though. suffered some injuries in that game. and things'd've looked really different if bailey was playing.

Yeah, our defense actually did a decent job (relatively so!) especially in stopping that crazy wildcat offense, but our offense just kept turning the ball over.

Not having Champ (or Boss) was bad, but we can't run the ball for crap. I am not sure that Young is all that great, but at least he could run the ball. I don't think Pittman had a single rush over 3 yards the entire game. Also not having Scheffler seems to be hurting some too.

I don't know, doesn't seem to be too good of a year. At least the Chargers are doing just as bad. Whoever the AFC West sends to the playoffs they are going to be terrible.

007: Just a reminder, the Broncos play on Thursday night, so we will want to make our picks before then. If you space it out, I will try to remember and list the spreads tomorrow evening.

although this quote from bailey's replacement, Karl Paymah, who got chumped, is kinda weak sauce JVO:

"Schemes take away certain things; you can't take away everything," Paymah said. "Our game plan was to stop the run and then stop No. 19 (Ted Ginn Jr.).

"We weren't worried about 83. He's just an average Joe. Honestly, you could have had anybody out there, a high school guy or whatever. That was the weakness we chose to have in our defense. We were giving it to him."

it's not so much that i'm offended on camarillo's (#83, who had 11 catches for 111 yards) behalf. i'm just surprised the dude's willing to compare the WR who successfuly exploited the "weakness [they] chose to have" to a high schooler. makes paymah sound like a peewee football player or something.

camarillo's nothing special, but i've seen dozens of dolphins WRs over the years who would've dropped enough balls and fucked up enough routes to not take advantage of what the broncs were giving us. it's nice to have an average professional receiver for a change.

Yeah, I agree.

That is something that I have really noticed about the Broncos this year. They have a bunch of no name guys or young guys who love to shoot their mouth off. They just need to shut up and play, especially when you are losing. Like you said, you can't blame the fish for taking what we gave them, especially since it obviously worked. Too much talking which is weird for a Shannahan team. I hope he is not losing control.
