Flu Shot Gone Very Wrong

So today they're giving out free flu shots here at work and I figured I'd go get one cause I always get the flu... so I just went over there and filled out the form and was waiting in line with some people... and then, I hear someone inside the room go "Call 911!".

The fucking needle just broke off inside the guys arm.

I just got an email from HR saying they are rescheduling the remaining shots for another date, but now I'm thinking the flu may be preferable to having a fucking NEEDLE broken off in your arm!

I wonder what happened to that dude. I mean, does this happen often? How do they get it out? I fucking HATE needles! :(

i think they just cut the arm open and get the needle.

...or maybe magnets. gigantic electromagnets like the ones they use to find needles in haystacks:

Damn! That's really fucked up. It hurts just to think about it.

I'm scared shitless of needles and stuff, and this will definately ensure that I won't be getting a flu shot for a damn long time. I'd really like to know what happened to that guy too, or what they do to get it out, or if he died a miserable death with a piece of needle rattling around in his brain.

Yeah, I haven't found out what happened to that guy... or what they did with his body. When I asked, HR said they have no record of a Mr. Brody ever working here. Something fishy is going on. :(
