I recommend these

Up (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1049413/)

Gran Torino (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1205489/)

Transsiberian (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0800241/)

I do not recommend these :(

Paul Blart: Mall Cop (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1114740/)

Bedtime Stories (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0960731/)

One I also wouldn't recommend.
Burn After Reading- A listed comedy that's NOT funny.
Focus is so much better without well named actors in them.

Burn after reading.... bad.

Did anyone watch The Hangover?

i didn't think much of burn after reading but i gotta admit (spoiler, though i don't think anyone would care with this flick) that i laughed real hard when brad pitt gets capped right in the face. i dunno why it just seemed like such a hilarious scene for some reason--that goofy smile he's got right as clooney wets him and clooney's reaction and how gory it is. i'm smiling typing this.

Paul Blart: Mall Cop is the greatest movie ever made.

i thought burn after reading was pretty good. i guess i wasn't expecting a comedy, though. i'm becoming a fan of tilda swinton (she was good in michael clayton)

up was a fantastic movie, perhaps one of the best i've seen in many years. i love these new 3D flicks!

i knew nothing of gran torino going into it, and liked it a lot. the first half displayed a comedic side to clint eastwood that i'd never suspected, and the ending was unexpectedly strong.

i'm not going to see paul blart: mall cop until i tune in halfway through on TBS some lazy sunday afternoon.

i rewatched children of men, which, if you haven't, you must. i also rewatched elektra, which, if you haven't, don't.

oh, and for those of you rushing out to see transformers 2, you might enjoy ebert's scathing take on it (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20090623/REVIEWS/906239997).

By the end of the film, my wife and her mom had left the room, I was nodding off and my father-in-law looked "unhappy".

The Foot Fist Way (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0492619/)... sorta reminded me of Napoleon Dynamite.. but worse.

Not sure why we decided to watch this.. I just noticed IMDB says it came out in 2006, but I think it just made it to video recently.. anyway, watch it on TV on a Sunday when you have nothing else going on :)
