I'm looking for a new Wii game.. anyone play the new Metroid yet? I want a grown up console game without shelling out for an Xbox or Playstation :)

I just joined Gamefly and added it as my first rental :)

Ok, so far it's pretty fun. I've put a few hours in and am now stuck in Sector 1 after killing all the aliens. Time to find a walkthrough. :)
Turning into a ball and rolling around dropping bombs that shoot you upwards is quite rewarding and so are the different guns you get. The storyline is movie cut-aways and good so far.
Also, Samus has certainly gotten busty since the original NES version, lol.

Still playing, but only a couple hours a week. I've decided renting games is pretty great and the way to go. Can't wait til rentals are delivered over the web someday (soon). The new Metroid is still entertaining, I recommend it if you want something to play on the Wii. I tend to get stuck a lot though.. which kinda ruins the fun. I'm tempted to just play with the walkthrough open on a laptop next to me, but I guess that would be cheating and probably a little sad.
Next up, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands :)
I haven't played any Wii in awhile. Are the newer games for it pretty good?
I've mostly just been addicted as shit to Starcraft II. God I love that game.

Well, one of the reasons I signed up at Gamefly was to try out a bunch of Wii games that I'd never buy. I just returned Metroid, and now am giving Prince of Persia a play.. it's kinda fun so far, you get to run up walls and stuff.. cheezy animated storyline and such. Actually it's a lot like Metroid so far. And the main character now looks like Jake Gyllenhaal from the move of the same name (yes, I watched it.. it's bad, but not as terrible as I thought it could be!).
I'll keep posting my Wii exploits on BTP since I don't get to play cool grown-up games anymore (I'm looking at you Call of Duty) :)
