XBox 360 - is it worth the $$$

Anyone get their hands on one of these yet or is everyone holding out for the PS3? I have to say some of the games they're showing in the commercials look really good, but I dunno.. it is M$ after all.

yea, if I invest in another new system it'll be the ps3.
some of the games look really cool, yes.. but to be honest, most of the war games look just as good on similar commercials for the ps2.

while the graphics are nicer on the new systems, they're not where the major improvements are these days...

it's the physics. more realistic blood splatters, more details explosions, contrails from your plane, shattering glass, smoking guns, etc.

regardless, i think the ps3 will certainly kick the shit out of the xbox 360. just be patient.

I read some reports saying that the new XBox had some problematic technical difficulties (crashing, etc.).

I would read up fairly carefully before purchasing one. Also, what console system crashes? These things are supposed to be rock solid. I would hate to be playing along & see the Blue Screen of Death.

My neighbor picked on up on release day, w/o a reservation. Premium system too. As for me I think I'm going to wait, at least, until after christmas before I buy one. (Still should have bought one, then turned around and sold it for ridiculous amounts of money on ebay)


For those who do own an Xbox and don't use live. A friend of mine recently came across a way to "softmod" your box. Unfortunately you need an already modded xbox to pull it off.

I think as soon as i get it done i'm gonna be heading to my local blockbuster. :)

No . . I dont have one . . I can't name one game that I want to play on it . . .

Maybe elder scrolls . .but I'll just download that for PC for free and save the 700$ setup fee.

XBOX 360 will be cool once halo comes out. . . even then I'll be damned to pay over 500$ to play one good game
