How's the strike going, New Yorkers? It looks shitty. People can't get to work, businesses have no patrons. This time next year will be a killer, from a fiscal perspective.

everyone's making such a bid deal out of the millions of dollars that MTA is loosing daily, but if you think about it, if they're making 8M a day and have a 500M surplus that they were blowing anyway, i'm not too worried about the financial status of MTA.

It's beginning to get old. I have to be at work tonight at 6pm and don't want to go. esp. since I have to be ready for my other job at 4:30am to get there on time. This flat rate taxi thing is killing me. it's $20 per head going from where i live to where I work. my jobs have been paying for it mostly, but $20 at xmas time is a shit load of money, as far as I'm concerned. There's a rumor that MTA may have set up shuttle busses for today, but I haven't heard anything about that today.

it's a fucking mess. I'm glad I'm getting out of the city on Saturday.
