Backup your HD!!

Well it happened....................my fucking hard drive crashed. In case you are wondering I cried like a baby :cry:
180GB of music and all my digital pics from the last 2 years. That in mind I would like to just remind all of you that if you haven’t backed up your files in awhile DO IT TOMMOROW!! As for me, lesson learned from now I plan on backing up my data once a month.
I would also like to give a shout out for new music. If anyone wants to donate a data disk of their favorite albums to the "re-build my music library" fund, send me a pm and I will give you my address. I would also enjoy to hear suggestions for albums that everyone should have in their collection. There are so many great albums I don’t know where to start. :confused:

ok, break it down. tell us what happened. there's always a chance you could use some software to read data back off a disk. may not work as well for the music, but for the pictures at least it might be worth it.

my sister brought something up ther other day: she said that a number of people she knew with dell desktops have had their harddrives die in the last year. wasn't poofs a dell computer? i dunno.

but yes, backup Backup BACKUP. as someone who's been in the IT trenches for years and years now, i cannot stress that enough. hard drives fail.

nope not a dell desktop...just about 4 years old and ridden hard...however, i'm new and all is well again.
