can i jump in on this? don't know what the number mean (or "LPL") but i can try to pick winners like bubz.
i randomly choose:
bucs
pats
panthers
pittsburgh
Awesome WC!!!!
All the numbers represent are the point spreads. For instance:
Washington @ Tampa Bay -2.5
If you were to select Tampa, it means that in order for you to win, the Bucs would have to win by 3 points or more. Whereas if you were to pick the Skins, the could lose the game, but if they lose by less than 3 points you would still win your bet.
LPL just means Lead Pipe Lock and that simply means that you are extra confident in your selection.
All Road Teams!!!!
Skins +2.5 LPL
Jags +7.5
Panthers +2.5
Steelers -2.5
Washington @ Tampa Bay -2.5================TB(-2.5)-------------------LPL
Jacksonville @ New England -7.5===============Jax(+7.5)
Carolina @ NY Giants -2.5===================Car(+2.5)
Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati +2.5==================Pitt(-2.5)
Overall : 125-124-7
Last : 8-8
LPL : 16-23-1
P.S. You don't count unless you pick against the spread...

Carolina @ NY Giants -2.5 ========= Panths +2.5
Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati +2.5 ======== Bengals -2.5
Washington @ Tampa Bay -2.5================TB(-2.5)-------------------LPL
Well, this just sums up my LPL's for the season.
If I pick an LPL, it is a guaranteed victory the other way.

haha. hey, 3 and 1. not bad for a first try :D
Well, down to the final 8.
JVO : What do you think of Pats at Broncs?
Should be a tough game. Always difficult to win at Mile High. On the other hand, all the Pats do is win...
Yeah, I am not really sure what to think. The Broncos beat the crap out of the Pats (28-20 in a game that Denver led 28-3) ealier this year, but a lot has changed since then. I had really hoped that Cinci would beat PittsburgH so that New England could play Indi. I think we have a pretty good chance (at least as good as anybody) to beat New England, but I think we have no chance to beat Indi. I am really interested in seeing what the spread is going to be. I think I would make it a Pickem. Denver is the home team and has the better record, but you can't argue with the Pats playoff success. I don't know. Should be a great game though.
007 (and anybody else who cares) - Who do you think the Rams should hire as Head Coach?
007 - Who do you think the Rams should hire as Head Coach?
I have been thinking about this, & can't come up with anybody too spectacular. I agree with Duck when he said we should have just kept Lovie Smith in the first place. As soon as he left, the Rams took a turn for the worse.
Once everyone starts kicking all these coordinator's names around, I just don't know who they are talking about. I think a fresh face would be good. Also, someone defensive-minded would be a bonus (that's obviously the area where we can't get it together).
If we are going after a recycled coach, I would say Mike Sherman is a good choice. He is respectable & kept Green Bay in the running & playoffs year after year. They were in a weak division (as are the Rams), & he kept them competitive.
