Just saw BloodRayne today. WHOA! bad bad Uwe Boll for directing this!
Michael Madsen made me want to become an actor.
He literally just stood around and acted uninterested the WHOLE film
not the tough mentor or hard vampire killer just kinda heh whatever attitude. Hey if he can do that and make millions I need to reconsider my career choices in life lol.
Aside from him it was like all the cast just got out of acting school. The story was rushed so you never got the time to think or absorb anything. The cinematography was mostly weak, and choppy so you couldnt notice the lack of martial skill during combat. I guess they hoped the over done blood gore would help keep the drones interested. Half the people walked out the film before it was over and though Ive never done it I have to admit I considered it myself.
You never felt that little dark tingle most vampire films give you. Even the vampires were weak, displaying none of the mythical abilites which make them superior to humans. They were like anyother peasent with a thirst for blood and really really cheap and I mean cheap face make up!
To be honest, I actually laughed through most of it. I could tell immediately after watching it for 15 minutes that
not much film went into the movie. They tried to redefine the world of darkness by draining it of what made it kewl.
Definitly a wait for DVD movie and even then think carefully for it will be an hour + of your life you can never get back lol.
