Has anyone heard about The Shadow of the Colossus?
It's taking my life away from me and I don't care. Beautiful cinematics, a great score, and super environments... It's from the same group that did ICO, if anyone played that... If I could complain about one thing, it'd be the controls from time to time, but the story and atmosphere, in my opinion, totally make up for that.
You've stolen the Sacred Sword and have brought your dead girlfriend to the Cursed Lands to resurrect her. To do so means defeating 16 massive colossi scatterd and hidden throughout the land. The sword itself leads you to them. It's linear in the sense that you need to defeat everyone in order, but there is alot of beautiful exploring to do. Neat little clumps of ruins here and there, small fountains tucked in corners, real neat 'cause nothing looks "pattern-stamped," if you know what I mean... The music is subtle if present, and really kicks up the blood when you start climbing the colossi... Awesome shit.
Definately not for someone looking for a FPS, but for someone who appreciates a more subdued sense of style and dread, this is one to start immersion-therepy with.
